Runway adds Seedance 2.5 Draft Mode: prototype at 480p, then enhance

On October 2, Runway announced that Seedance 2.5 Draft Mode was available in Agent. The workflow quickly generates draft videos at 480p, which can then be enhanced. The official changelog lists it as a feature for all plans.

Runway says it is faster than regular generation and allows lower-cost experimentation and revision. Draft Mode is suggested automatically and can also be switched on or off. The changelog reviewed for this article does not give specific per-second prices or processing times.

AI video rankings updated to v2.0, with separate comparisons for outputs with and without audio

Artificial Analysis's comparison of text-to-video models is now AA-Video-T2V v2.0. As of October 6, the official page separates evaluations with and without audio and explains that people compare videos made with the same prompt without seeing model names.

In the audio category, Wan 3.0 scores 1156, Utopai X 1148, and Seedance 2.5 1142. Ranking ranges are also shown, and the evaluation intervals of top models overlap. Small score differences cannot be read directly as decisive quality differences. These values are from the time of checking and change with voting.

Checking MiniMax H3's public license: the US, EU, and other regions are excluded

MiniMax H3's public license excludes the EU, UK, South Korea, and US from its applicable territory. The license is dated August 2; this is not an announcement of newly added restrictions. This article summarizes usage conditions checked in the official license text as of October 6.

The text sets conditions not only for model weights but also for derivative models, hosted services, and use of outputs outside the territory. It directs users to discuss a separate license with MiniMax for deployment in excluded regions. This public document alone does not establish whether individual services have separate permission.
